Description
Correspondence between Máirtín Ó Direáin and Rita Kelly grew as a result of the friendship that developed between them in Galway in 1978. Máirtín was there for a year as a guest at the University, and Rita was there with her husband Eoghan Ó Tuairisc , who was in charge of a writing workshop at the University the same year. Rita discusses these letters here, and their portrayal of one of Ireland’s great poets.
